Jpegs straight from the camera, no photoshop or any manipulation is applied: the new Sony RX1R produces very sharp images. No view finder of any kind was used at the time of taking some of the pictures below. Specia thanks to Sony Center for “Sony objektívek” – for testing and evaluation.
All pix were taken handheld – I missed the EVF for sharper night scene images (as MF with peaking can be best used via the EVF). The Carl Zeiss Sonnar 2,0/35 lens ranks number 9 on DXOMarks camera lens ratings and occupies position 7 on the camera sensor ratings! A true marvel out there. Sensor resolution is 20 P-Mpix out of the 24 megapixels. So the loss of detail is one of the lowest – and this comes from a COMPACT camera. Sony has really set pace for the competitors.
